Art Education Students and Working Artists Teach Art in NYC Libraries

TC's Art and Art Education students are teaming up with working artists through a nonprofit organization, ProjectArts, to teach art in public libraries in New York City. The libraries are located in neighborhoods where the public schools have suffered deep cuts in art education budgets.

WNET's MetroFocus show interviewed Judith Burton, professor of art and art education, and Vanessa Arnold about the need for all kids to have access to art instruction and to make art.
