Biographical Information

Helen Stevens, Ph.D. is a full-time lecturer and Director of Internships and Externships in the School Psychology Program at Teachers College, Columbia University.  She is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 25 years’ experience in private practice.  She specializes in individual and family therapy and psychological assessment, including forensic, psycho-educational, employment, adoption, law enforcement appeals, and disability evaluations. She is a certified school psychologist having worked for 28 years in a public school setting at all grade levels, as well as having consulted for numerous private schools.  She has been teaching school psychology at the graduate level for 25 years, specializing in clinical supervision and assessment.   In addition, she is a public safety psychologist, conducting pre-employment evaluations for law enforcement agencies, and a media psychologist, vetting applicants for reality television and cable programs.
