Summer Principals Academy

Summer Principals Academy (SPA)

SPA programs in New York (NY) and New Orleans (NOLA) are summer intensive cohorts within the Organization and Leadership Department.

The Summer Principals Academy (SPA) program is a four semester cohort program which begins during the first summer semester, continuing onto the following fall, spring and second summer semesters.

Types of Assistance

Scholarships - Summer Principals Academy scholarships are available to students to help defray the cost of the four semester program. Given its unique academic structure, scholarships are equitably distributed in the last three semesters of study.
Student Loans - Federal Student Loans are available to students who submit a Free Application for Student Aid(FAFSA). Students can also consider options for private loans.

How to Apply

Because the SPA cohort program has an alternative tuition structure, students must submit the appropriate applications in order to be considered for scholarship and federal aid:

  • Complete the scholarship application section within your application for admission
  • Complete the 2020-2021 FAFSA no later than June 2020 using the Teachers College School Code: G03979
