About Advocacy at Teachers College
Advocacy@Teachers Colleges aims to, in the words of Professor Yolanda Sealey-Ruiz, “create spaces to realize one's own power.” Workshops and programming are done in collaboration with offices and departments across the College, including the Government Relations & Community Engagement team, which is TC’s liaison to city, state, and federal government. Led by Matthew J. Camp, the team cultivates relationships with government officials, develops and secures funding for new education initiatives.
Advocacy Academy
The Advocacy Academy is Teachers College's premier event to provide space to take civic action. Advocates collaborate with expert facilitators in interactive workshops to take action that day. Explore previous Academies:
