Portal Project for New York's Public Schools Attracts Attention from Universities

The New York City Board of Education is looking to the Internet to help enhance the curriculum and learning experience in the cities public schools. A recently proposal has been to create a "portal" site that would generate money and pathernerships with universities and businesses.

The New York City Board of Education is looking to the Internet to help enhance the curriculum and learning experience in the cities public schools. A recently proposal has been to create a "portal" site that would generate money and pathernerships with universities and businesses.

Professor Robert McClintock, who is a member of the committee that created the proposal for the portal said the project is an "ambitious undertaking that will take time to implement."
