National Art Education Association (NAEA) President Mac Arthur Goodwin announced the appointment of Andrew Buck as the 2003 NAEA convention program coordinator to be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
National Art Education Association (NAEA) President Mac Arthur Goodwin announced the appointment of Andrew Buck as the 2003 NAEA convention program coordinator to be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota. "Andrew Buck is a longtime member of NAEA," said Goodwin, "and will do an exemplary job coordinating some 850 sessions and events for 3,500 to 4,000 delegates. His administrative background and skills are a perfect match for the tasks of convention management."

Andrew Buck, currently a doctoral student in the Art and Art Education program, is in his sixth year as Director of Arts Education for District 75 in NYC. Buck was named Art Supervisor of the Year by the NYCATA/UFT in 2001. He is interested in studying and developing research on instruction and assessment in arts education as it relates to students in special education.

"Most of my energies are devoted to activities in the field," said Buck. "Being at TC provides me with an opportunity to reflect on what we are doing and why, and stay current with developments in the field. There is a need to look more closely at the intersection of art and special education."
