Upcoming Virginia and Leonard Marx Lecture: Dr. Linda Darling-Hammond
Dr. Linda Darling-Hammond, is presenting Reclaiming Childhood and Education: The Current Challenge for Progressive Education on Wednesday, October 20th.
On Wednesday, October 20, 2004, Teachers College will present the 2004 Virginia and Leonard Marx Lecture at 7:00 PM in Horace Mann Auditorium. This year's distinguished lecturer is Dr. Linda Darling-Hammond, Charles E. Ducommun Professor of Education at Stanford University, who will present "Reclaiming Childhood and Education: The Current Challenge for Progressive Education." Prior to her appointment at Stanford, Professor Darling-Hammond was William F. Russell Professor in the Foundations of Education at Teachers College, Columbia University, and Co-Director of the National Center for Restructuring Education, Schools, and Teaching (NCREST).
