Charter Schools Under Fire
In a report issued by the Economic Policy Institute (EPI), charter schools are described as performing no better than traditional schools and potentially having a negative impact. The report is based upon data collated from 19 studies in 11 states about charter schools, tuition-free public campuses that operate under fewer federal and state regulations. It recommends that charter schools progress with caution and be held more accountable that they are currently.
