Zankel Estate To Give To Schools And The Arts

The estate of the late financier and philanthropist Arthur Zankel will donate 120 (M) million dollars to schools and cultural groups, including Skidmore College and Carnegie Hall.

cultural groups, including Skidmore College and Carnegie Hall.

Other recipients of the estate's donation are the United Jewish Appeal, the Society of Illustrators, Zankel family foundations, and the Teachers College of Columbia University, which is getting $10 million for a scholarship fund.

Teachers College said it will rename its Main Hall as the Arthur Zankel Building.
