Bailey Named Dean of U of Minnesota College

On May 18, Darlyne Bailey, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Teachers College, announced that she would leave TC after Labor Day to become Dean of University of Minnesota's new College of Education and Human Development (CEHD). According to Bailey, she will also "serve as Assistant to the President in the oversight of two University-wide consortia, focusing on post-secondary education for children, youth, and families in the Twin Cities."

Bailey steps into her leadership of CEHD as it undergoes growth and transformation, having merged with other University departments and colleges with a focus on the social sciences and social work. University Provost Thomas Sullivan said that Bailey "brings dynamic energy and a profound range of experience and expertise to this new college."
