TC Celebrates Obama Inauguration

Hundreds of Teachers College students, faculty and staff turned out to watch the inauguration of Barack Obama. The TC Office of External Affairs taped a series of interviews with alumni, students and staff as they prepared to watch the inauguration on their thoughts of the new president and their hopes for the Obama administration.
Hundreds of Teachers College students, faculty and staff turned out to watch the inauguration of Barack Obama, the first Columbia University graduate to be elected president, on Tuesday, January 20. Large screens in Milbank Chapel, Everett Lounge and Everett Café broadcast the inauguration live, while at Columbia, a crowd of several thousand gathered on the steps of Low Library to watch the historic event. The TC Office of External Affairs taped a series of interviews with alumni, students and staff as they prepared to watch the inauguration on their thoughts of the new president and their hopes for the Obama administration.
