Student Presentations at the 2010 Deutsch Awards

On Thursday, April 8th two Teachers College students made presentations on their work on Social Justice at the 6th Annual Deutsch Awards for Social Justice.
On Thursday, April 8th two Teachers College students made presentations on their winning papers at the 6th Annual Deutsch Awards for Social Justice.  Their presentations gave an overview of the papers that they submitted for the paper competition.

Lauren Johnson, a graduate of the Master's Program in Clinical and Counseling Psychology at Teachers College, and a current student of the International Center for Cooperation and Conflict Resolution's Certificate Program made a presentation entitled: The Downside of Patriarchal Benevolence: Addressing Domestic Violence and Socioeconomic Considerations for Women of Tamil Nadu, India

Naomi Mayor, a graduate of Teachers College made a presentation entitled: A New Model of Israel Education Based on the Concepts of Peace Education.  Her co-author, Linda Leder, a graduate of Teachers College, participated in the awards ceremony via Skype, from her home in Israel.  Click here to read Naomi and Linda's paper.
