TCCS will admit two kindergarten classes this fall. The school will phase in additional grades over the next eight years.
TCCS will admit two kindergarten classes this fall at a temporary location within PS 133 on Fifth Avenue and 130th Street while its permanent facility in Manhattanville is being renovated. The school will phase in additional grades over the next eight years.

The school will open its doors this year with the following team in place:

Kindergarten teachers: Marie Sarabia and Alexandra Espinosa, both of whom trained as Reading Recovery teachers at NYU, and both of whom have worked extensively with TC initiatives such as the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project and the College’s Inclusive Classrooms Project, which operates under the aegis of its Elementary Inclusive Education Program. Espinosa is also a licensed ESL teacher.

Paraprofessional: Margaret Maldonado, who has 10 years’ experience in that role and holds  certifications in Early Childhood, Elementary Education and Special Education.

Special education teacher: Sheree Raho has extensive experience with instructional interventions and holds Level I and II Wilson Certifications.

Parent coordinator: Leona Guerrido has 15 years of experience as a school aide, PTA president and board member, school leadership team member and a school volunteer for the Learning Leaders organization.

School secretary: Zandra Harris has eight years’ experience in this role and seven previous years as a school safety agent
