Eugene Garcia to Speak on Teaching English Language Learners

Eugene Garcia, an expert on early learning, bilinguaal development and equal educational opportunity, will speak on "Teaching Young English Language Learners" on Wednesday, October 17th, from 7-9 pm in TC's Milbank Chapel.
Eugene Garcia, an expert on early learning, bilingual development and equal educational opportunity, will speak on "Teaching Young English Language Learners" on Wednesday, October 17th, from 7-9 pm in TC's Milbank Chapel. The appearance by Garcia, Professor Emeritus at  Arizona State University and the University of California at Berkeley, is part opf the QUIERE Seminar Series, sponsored by TC's Department of Curriculum and Teaching and the U.S. Office of Special Education Programs. QUIERE -- for Quality Universally Inclusive Early Responsive Education, is a TC-based federally funded program to prepare early childhood education teachers to teach fully inclusively.
