TC's Jeff Henig: Chicago Teachers' Strike Like Battles in Other Cities With Mayor-Controlled Schools

Speaking with Bloomberg News, Henig said Chicago teachers are in an "outright war for survival" which, if the union wins, might be repeated in other cities.
The first Chicago teacher strike in 25 years has both sides saying the fight is about assuring that classrooms are led by good educators. They just disagree sharply over how that should be done.
