JPMorgan Chase's REACH
TC's 125th anniversary Gala celebration was the official coming out party for REACH (Raising Educational Achievement Coalition of Harlem) -- the new name for the College's partnership with a group of local pre-K-'"12 Harlem public schools. REACH, (supported partly by a $1 million grant from the JPMorgan Chase Foundation) developed and administered by TC's Office of School and Community Partnerships, aims to improve educational outcomes in high-need public schools and to demonstrate how universities can partner with schools in distressed communities to provide improved instruction, expanded learning opportunities for students, promote students' health and well-being, and family support. Starting on September 1, JPMorgan Chase ATM machines in New York City will proclaim "JPMorgan Chase proudly supports Teachers College with $1 million for  REACH: Raising Educational Achievement Coalition of Harlem, and a shared  commitment to a bright future for NYC children."
