Pallas, Priscilla (Penny) Wohlstetter, Michael Rebell, Judith Scott-Clayton, Sarah Cohodes and Peter Bergman.

Hess’s rankings recognize excellence in five areas: disciplinary scholarship, policy analysis and popular writing, convening and shepherding collaborations, providing incisive media commentary, and speaking in the “public square.”  Those ranked were selected from well over 20,000 university-based faculty tackling educational questions.
