Coleman on Deutsch: Why and how people seek justice
The late Morton Deutsch, the TC psychologist who helped found the field of conflict resolution. The late TC psychologist Morton Deutsch was five years old when he first protested injustice -- his exclusion from a softball game by older children. As a teenager he organized a group of busboys to strike at a Jewish resort in the Catskills. In 1985 his book Distributive Justice laid out a comprehensive understanding of the various distributive justice principles, including winner-takes-all, equity, equality and need.
