New Electronic 1098-T Service

Teachers College, Columbia University in conjunction with Transact are offering you the opportunity to receive your 1098-T Tuition Statement electronically for the upcoming tax year.

If you choose to receive a paper copy of your 1098-T statement, simply do nothing.

The benefits to receiving electronic notification are:

• Online delivery provides access to the form 1098-T earlier than the traditional mailing process.
• Online delivery eliminates the chance that the 1098-T will get lost, misdirected or delayed during delivery.
• Signing up for online delivery is easy and secure.

To minimize social contact during this crisis and to increase efficiency going forward, Teachers College, Columbia University will be going paperless with our 1098-T tax forms process.

By signing up to receive an electronic Form 1098-T, you will not receive a paper form through the mail. Students who do not select the electronic option will continue to receive a paper Form 1098-T sent to the permanent mailing address listed on your account.

You can sign up for paperless delivery of your 1098-T tax forms by following these steps:

1. login to MyTC (my.tc.edu)
2. click on the tab "Student Resources"
3. click on the link "Account Summary"
4. click on the button "Pay Now". This will take you to the eBill & ePay site on Cashnet
5. click on the “Tax Forms” link on the left side menu
6. click on the "Sign up" button at the bottom of the page
7. follow the instructions from that point
