An article that appeared in the New York Times discussed controversy surrounding a pamphlet recently drafted by the Department of Education regarding standardize test scores. Jay Heubert, associate professor of education at Teachers College, Columbia University, was quoted in the article and discussed the issue of standardize tests. He also said that "no important decision about an individual should be made on the basis solely of a single test score."

The article, entitled "Conservatives Say Pamphlet On Testing Goes Too Far," appeared in the June 12 edition of the
New York Times.
